- Our Debt Collection process.
This process starts with verifying the contact information provided by our clients and gathering additional information to be used by the debt collector. Once we have verified the debtor information, we then proceed to initiate communication with the debtor through a phone call or an email. Typically, this happens within one business day of receiving the claim. When we are able to get through to the debtor over the phone, our initial objective is to find out from them the real reason for not honoring the debt. Determining the real reason can have a dramatic impact on the approach the debt collector will usually adopt. Once we have this information and we understand why they aren’t paying, we can come up with a strategy to get as much money as possible and as quickly as possible. During the debt collection process, we may make dozens of phone calls. There are situations where we will call several times a day, from early morning to mid-evening, trying to get a live person.
